Dress Up Day 20 - Friday 7th May

Sob, sob, hic, sniff, sniff, sob...

My dear, dear fashionistas, today is the 20th and last day of the much loved DP Daily Dress Up Challenge.......

Today's outfit was the focus of a lot of pressure. When asked yesterday what my final outfit would be I answered enthusiastically with what I had planned, I was greeted however with blank faces. 'Oh, I thought you would have had something really special lined up, it is the last day after all', and so the panic set in!

Was everyone expecting some wild fashion forward ensemble worthy of the great Lady Gaga or a quirky kitch grand finale not out of place in the closet of Carrie Bradshaw?!

After much thought and a little style meditation the fashion fear subsided and I decided to stay true to the fashion challenge - wearable outfits rather than crazy showstoppers.

So I stayed with my original idea for the last day, to wear the same combination as day 1 - the maxi dress and pintuck blouse (finally available to buy!). I have again worn the maxi as a mini, adding the blouse and a skinny belt to pull in the waist. I've paired the look with some frill mary-janes and popped a net slip underneath to give a little wink to Miss Bradshaw!

I hope you all approve of my final choice?

Miss you already, goodbye....for now!

I genuinely have a tear in my eye... I have followed the entire challenge and have loved it to bits! The finale outfit is indeed worthy of Miss Carries wardrobe....I'm thinking the Paris episode when she see's Big in the car ....can't wait for your return Rachel x

I love your final choice. Its my favourite (along with the look on day 1). I like the idea of the slip underneath too. I'm not sure if I'd dare to wear this look with a slip but you make it look so easy.

I have now purchased the blouse and looking forward very much to wearing it over the weekend. Unfortunately the maxi dress has sold out in my size but I'll keep looking.

Well done for pulling off this challenge so easily.

WOW what a Finale. It take somebody with style, class and a figure like yours to pull off a Maxi Dress (tucked up to a Mini) and show it off like this. The little bit of net is a really "finish off" and we will miss your daily challenges.

I have too been a follower and think you have done great in this challenge! It proves if you think about what your buying you don't have to have a massive wardrobe to look good (although we do all still love a full wardrobe!) I bought the coulottes and the blouse (I was one of the eager ones!) and am going to attempt the inside out sleeve this weekend!
Looking forward to the next challenge!!!!
