To celebrate the launch of Dorothy Perkins exclusive new jewellery range 'Ribbon and Asher', us press office gals treated forty super stylish fashion journalists to a preview screening of...wait for it...the ridiculously anticipated SATC II!
Now, for those of you dying to see it worry not, reading on will not spoil anything!
Journalists gathered from 7pm to view the collection in a fabulously apt Middle Eastern themed room in London's uber-chic Soho Hotel with conversation quickly moving onto the fashion foursome. After drinks and canapes the time came to totter on our high heels into the screening room dropping off our mobile phones with the burly security guard at the door (to ensure no SATC secrets were leaked before the release date!)
After excitedly finding our seats (cow print and red leather - so cool!) the film began with the instantly recognisable beat of Alicia Keys' Empire State of Mind moving into the now iconic theme tune!
Glued to our chairs for the next couple of hours we witnessed Stanford's amazingly camp wedding and the girls hilarious but glamorous trip to Abu Dhabi where the style stakes stayed at an all time high (a tincy bit unbelievable but thats why we love it!)
As the titles ran and the lights came on I felt decidedly under dressed in my chiffon prom and sequin pillbox hat (thats what the girls will do to you) and and may book out this bank holiday weekend to re-style my wardrobe!
If you're seeing it this weekend you're in for a real treat (Liza Minellis cameo is hysterical)...enjoy but prepare a shopping trip the day after!
