Last week, at the ultra-swanky Ivy Club, Arcadia gave us bloggers a wonderful and rare opportunity: to sit down together like civilized people instead of the headless fashion chickens we normally are.
Instead of the usual blur of press days, a quick kiss on the cheek, a coffee grabbed in passing, all of us--from Susie Lau (Style Bubble) to Sasha Wikins (Liberty London Girl) and Laetitia Wajanpel (Mademoiselle Robot)--gathered in one room to really talk to one another. In person, not Twitter.
As the night was co-hosted by Ivan Rodic, the Facehunter himself, Arcadia spoiled guests by giving us all a brand new Flip video camera. And naturally, being a room full of bloggers, a mini-interview fest ensued (the lovely Angela from Grazia Daily has a thorough video round-up).
Unusually, amidst the flowing champagne and devastatingly tasty food (the beef Carpaccio practically melted in my mouth), Arcadia also summoned the powers that be from print and online press, with Grazia's Paula Reed and Dolly Jones from Vogue.com both in attendance. Bloggers and editors, eating, talking and laughing together--leave it to the folks behind Topshop and DP to bury the proverbial hatchet between editrixes v. bloggers.
So thank you, Arcadia, for a wonderful night of food, friends and Flip! xx
