WIN VIP Festival tickets!

As regular blog readers will know, here at Style HQ we're big festival-goers, with the team style hunting everywhere from the Isle of Wight Festival to Lovebox to V Festival.

We'll be at it again this year, and our first stop is Get Loaded in the Park, on Sunday 12th June on Clapham Common.

With Razorlight headling, and performances from The Cribs, Noisettes, Darwin Deez, British Sea Power and many, many more, it's going to give our festival season a major kickstart.

Put on your best Poker Face...

Lady Gaga is planning what could just be our favourite outfit of hers. And the best bit is, you could be a part of it!

 
 
As part of her MAC Viva Glam campaign, Gaga's going to wear a couture outfit featuring the faces of her fans.

If you want to be involved, just upload a photo of yourself to the Viva Glam site (you can click the picture above) and help share awareness of those affected by HIV and AIDS.

Stylist Nicola Formichetti will incorporate the photos into an outfit the star will wear later this year. He's been working with Gaga for years and is responsible for some of her most outrageous and iconic ensembles:

Copy Kate

Doesn't Kate look great with her honeymoon tan? We normally love Michelle Obama's look, but in this case she just can't compete with the new Duchess of Cornwall's chic, understated dress.

 
It's a perfect choice for a formal occassion - just above the knee, and fitted but not too clingy. Add the simple jewellery, classic clutch and court shoes and she's ticked every box.

This really is a masterclass in occassion dressing, so it's definitely a look worth imitating if you have a big do coming up. Here's how we'd do it:

 
         

We think Kate's definitely a Closet girl at heart - their tailored dresses suit her style - so this blush dart dress would be perfect. We've kept the shoes and bag really simple, so the overall look is really sophisticated.

Sam's Sunny Style

We don't like to name-drop, but we do consider Sam Faiers to be a friend of ours, so we couldn't resist a nosy peek through her holiday photos:

How much fun do they look like they're having in Marbella? We're well jel!

All the girls look stunning as always, but we've got to say Sam's outfit is our favourite... after all, she is wearing DP!

 

She must have picked up her essentials from our holiday shop before she left, because she's picked out this orange obi vest dress from our current collection.

 
It's great for holidays because it's an easy piece to wear over a bikini for a beach, but then you can just add heels for a night out, like Sam. Plus, it's only £32 and it also comes in purple.

This Season's Stripes

Stripes are always in style and any striped piece can be your wardrobe failsafe, but recognising the subtle seasonal variations will take your look to a new level.

This summer, try one of two ways to wear, inspired by our favourite designers.

Prada

 
Stripes were big and bold at Prada, with brights on blacks and clashing colours making a real impression. If you want a high fashion, high impact look, this is it! Try a pink and orange sundress or maxi dress - the colour combination is slightly unusual but still bright and sunny:

 

Jonathon Saunders

 
If you like your stripes more subtle, take your cues from Jonathon Saunders. Here the colours were a little more muted - pastel pinks, greens and yellows on white and neutral backgrounds. And all over stripes were replaced with stripey borders on full skirts - a look you can create easily with this coral striped skirt or green striped sundress:

All White on the Night

Rihanna experimented with a new style of evening dress at the Billboard Music Awards last week in a head-to-toe white suit. And it looks like she started a trend, because actress Camilla Belle turned up to the Young Hollywood Awards with a very similar look, just days later!

 
We're loving this look for evening - it's formal but edgy, and the lighter colour is perfect for summer.

If you like the tailored look, we've got our own take on it with this white shorts and white blazer combo:

 

The crisp white looks great worn slightly slouchy and relaxed, just like Rihanna, and this beach-y hairstyle is a different way to finish the look.

Or, if you want to stay true to Camilla's chic and shiny look, just match this white sateen blazer with the sateen trousers, and copy her shiny, shiny hair!
