THE OSCARS – OUR TOP FASHION PICKS

We've picked a couple of our favourite looks from the red carpet at this year's Oscars.

Penelope Cruz looked classically beautiful in a blue Armani gown - she finished off her old school glamour look with simple diamond jewellery.

Oscar winner Meryl Streep wore a gold Alber Elbaz gown, although she managed to pull it off we think a little less of the draping material would have been more flattering.

Jennifer Lopez was daring but super sexy in her shimmering Zuhair Murad dress, she kept her accessories simple with a pair of stunning earrings and a sleek up do to finish the look.

Angelina Jolie showed off her long legs at every opportunity in her thigh split Atelier Versace dress. We think she looks stunning but needed some jewellery or accessories to give the black colour a bit of sparkle.

Natalie Portman recreated a 50’s style with her vintage Dior gown, showing off her gorgeous post baby figure. Red lips and classic jewels gave her style the finishing touch.

Claire Danes looked pretty in her raspberry coloured Valentino gown - the sheer print bodice gave the dress a real girly feel and the colour is so on trend.

THE BRIT AWARDS 2012

Donna Karan stuck with her timeless appeal and borrowed from the big success stories of last season too. Peplum dresses and contrast sleeves are here to stay!

We’re loving the blanket coats and print mixing at Rag and Bone, who left no trend un-referenced.

THE GRAMMYS - FASHION HITS!

Last night saw the 54th Grammy Awards held in LA.  We spotted some fabulous outfits on the red carpet and picked a couple of our favourites...

The gorgeous Adele, who won an amazing 6 awards, looked pretty in her sheer polka dot dress while performing ‘Rolling in the Deep’ - which won best song. 

We loved Kelly Rowland’s blush coloured gown with pretty detailing and sheer bodice - it suits her skin tone perfectly and the nude colouring is going to be huge this season.

Rihanna went brave in a backless (and very low cut) Armani dress which she helped to design - she also showed off her newly bleached blonde hair.

Jessie J looked amazing in a very on trend metallic gown by Julien Macdonald - keeping her hair straight and sleek.

And Alicia Keys looked chic and sophisticated in her simple black dress with minimal jewellery.

A number of stars attending the awards paid tribute to the legendary singer Whitney Houston who passed away on Saturday night. Host LL Cool J made a speech praising her and Jennifer Hudson went on to pay an emotional tribute to the singer by performing a rendition of ‘I will always love you’.
