And so it begins...
If the Big Apple shows were anything to go by, next autumn/winter we can expect a return to military inspired outerwear, spring’s print obsession to continue and retro influences aplenty. Here’s our round-up of the stand-out shows from across the pond.
Victoria Beckham
Victoria returns to her structured best this season with the flattering silhouettes we know and love her for. As well as stylish shifts, there were classic military inspired coats which are totally top of our shopping list already!

Zac Posen
Oriental florals and glamorous 40s silhouettes marked this collection out from the crowd.

Marc Jacobs
Part Helena Bonhom Carter eccentricity and part mad hatters tea party, Marc Jacobs' collection was packed with fun prints and layered textures. One for the fashion purists maybe, but a spectacle nevertheless.

DKNY
Donna Karan stuck with her timeless appeal and borrowed from the big success stories of last season too. Peplum dresses and contrast sleeves are here to stay!

Rag and Bone
We’re loving the blanket coats and print mixing at Rag and Bone, who left no trend un-referenced.
J Crew
Sweet prints, crayon bright outerwear and minimal chic were the order of the day at Michelle Obama’s favourite label.
Marchesa
And for a bit of fairytale escapism to end on, lovely lovely Marchesa...
Let us know what you think, and check back next week for our LFW faves.
