DP SPOTTED...

Who’s picked up Grazia and Cosmopolitan recently? Well we’ve spotted some of our latest DP products so thought we’d give you a sneaky peek.

Grazia featured a selection of chic totes and chose our black/green colour block shopper bag - it’s the ideal spring update to your outfit.

We know that coloured and printed jeans are set to be a real wardrobe staple for this season. Grazia picked a DP pair of leopard jeans that are set to hit down online and in store from next week.

We can't pick a favourite from our selection of wedges, but Cosmopolitan chose this red pair as the perfect high street style.

And we love that Cosmopolitan picked one of our favourite pieces from the SS12 collection - this gorgeous grey sheer dress is perfect for a chic look.

Party like its NYE!

Girls, we're in Crimbo Limbo....Christmas Day and Boxing Day have passed... some of us are back to work.. sob sob, and NYE is is touching distance, but we are not quite there. So what to do in this bermuda triangle phase? Start planning your NYE outfit!

Florence Welsh - dark nails, nude accessories work seamlessly with this nude shimmer dress.

Estelle - keeps this gold column dress minimal with a touch of gold jewellery.

Jennifer Hudson - goes all out with a blush body con and blush thigh-high boots.. when you've got it, flaunt it!

There's a fab feature in this week's Look magazine that everyone should look out for - 100 Best Ever Fashion & Beauty Tips from the experts.

 

They've consulted all the biggest names and key influencers from the world of fashion and beauty to bring you the experts' high street must-buys, stylists' tricks, make-up artists' secrets and miracle products.

Among the experts, from Julien Macdonald to Erin O'Connor, is DP's very own design manager Claire!

Her top tip? "Pair a tuxedo jacket with a simple neutral vest and blue denim - stylishly classic". Keep this in mind for next season, when our Tuxe Luxe collection launches!

In the Press: Floradita

It's official - the fashion press LOVES our new Floradita range. If you've been reading any magazines lately you can't have missed it:

 

Floradita has a hint of the 1950s and a touch of modern day romance - a capsule collection of fabrics in simple, feminine shapes.  

Whether it's a traditional wedding in the country, a refined garden party or just a stroll in the warm sunshine, Floradita has plenty to offer for any occasion.

We don't want to give too much away now, but we can exclusively share a couple of preview photos:

Top the Fashion Charts

Every week we pour over the Grazia fashion charts to see what the folks in the know say we should be wearing, so you can imagine our excitement when the dress at number one this week looked a little familiar....

 
It's our gorgeous flowerpot print dress! We've always had a soft spot for this dress, but we'll feel doubley cool in it now we know that Grazia feel the same way.

Style it as they've suggested, with a pale denim jacket and trainers, or try it with brogues and an embroidered straw bag, as seen in our SS11 photos:

 

So versatile!

A quick word of warning - all of our pieces that have graced the pages of Grazia in the past have flown off the rails so we'd advise you to get in quick with this one! x

PARIS FASHION WEEK

AW11 Fashion Week Season drew to a close this week in Paris, and boy did it go out with a bang. With notable controvery destined to overshadow proceedings somewhat, there was more pressure than ever for top designers to pull something pretty special out of the cloth bag.

Trends for next season, shown through all cities, were however ticked, and double ticked in gay Paris. From bright colours, particularly seen on outerwear, to pattern colour blocking and rich florals, it is set to be anything but a grey winter.

So onto our favourite designers from the week....

Alexander McQueen

With rumours arife that wedding dress designer for the Royal Wedding is currently tipped to go to Alexander McQueen... we looked for clues in Sarah Burtons latest collection... and clues there were aplenty. From white and grey as signature palettes, to heavy embellishment and gushing fabrics, the new collection is most certainly fit for a queen!

 
 
Louis Vuitton

Most exciting appearance on the catwalk ..... Kate Moss for LV! With a 3 year break from the catwalk, our Brit Fashion Icon was back, and badder than ever .... smoking down the catwalk no less.... no Kate we don't approved.... however you've still not lost your walk...    

 
 

Chanel

We were all struggling to imagine how KL could possibly top an iceberg as catwalk theatre.... and then he adds a volcano into the mix! Excuse the pun... but the show was hot stuff! Red and teal brights shone through a classic B&W base.... lusting over the cropped tweed jackets already!

 
 
 

 

 

 

 
 

ACCESS ALL AREAS AT THE LOOK SHOW

Last Friday at The Look Show, DP were the only high street brand to be given an 'access all areas' pass. So naturally we jumped at the chance to give you an exclusive sneaky peak into what happens back stage at a fashion show....and filmed it all for your viewing pleasure!

Watch Style HQs resident reporter Rachel Cornick in action as she takes you on an exclusive tour behind the scenes at the show.

Scoops include top celebrity stylist Mark Heyes telling us what he is looking for in the next supermodel, Jill Wanless Looks Associate Editor explaining why curvy models are so important to the industry and Looks Beauty Editor Katie Selby talking through what inspired the hair and beauty styling for the show.

We also talk exclusively to Lyndsay O'Hagan, the winner of the Lorraine Curvy Supermodel competition on what lies ahead for her and why the DP dress she modelled was her favourite from the show!

DP ON THE CATWALK AT LONDON FASHION WEEK

Last Friday, DP hit the catwalk at London Fashion Week as part of The Look Show. Showcasing the best of the British high-street fashion, The Look Show, now in its 3rd season, was awash with models, celebs, and top fashion industry names.

DP were second to take to the runway.... and as the saying goes .... 'first the worst, second the best!' Styled by Jodie Nellist @ Look, our colour-pop collection featured the key SS11 items we can't wait to get our hands on! From tangerine aladdin silk trousers, to the peppermint jumpsuit (already featured in the mag) and scallop trim shorts and tee, no wonder the Look girls scouted our collection to be one of their favs!   

Here we are in action. Look at us go!

Watch out for Lyndsay, winner of the Lorraine Curvy Supermodel Competition, modelling the tangerine and white button through dress. We think she looks AMAZING!

 

And the best news... you don't have to wait another season to get your hands on the fabulous pieces... they are hitting stores as we speak!

As Seen In... Look

We were flicking through the latest copy of LOOK magazine and this gorgeous photo shoot caught our eye.

 
Named 'Princess Express', the spread was 'a sophisticated take on royal chic with pastel lace, brocade and bright suits'... maybe Kate Middleton should be taking notes!

The shoot featured not one, but two outfits from our upcoming collection - a distinguished turquoise jumpsuit and a resplendent blue embellished mini dress.

 
We loved the way LOOK styled the pieces, adding contrasting accessories, simple make-up and sleek, groomed hair, so we can't wait for them to become available in the next few weeks.
