With a brand new performance active wear range now available at DP, we thought it only right we get one of our fashion blogger friends to put this season’s must-wear gym clothes to the test. We armed Josie from Fashion Mumblr with the entire DP Active collection and asked her to get out, get active and tell us what she thought.
Josie says: "My favourite combination is the geometric print colourful vest top paired with a classic pair of black capri leggings, which have a hint of pink detailing on the hem as well as reflective strips."
We love the way Josie has gone for one statement piece in her looks, but if you're brave you could do prints top-to-toe and if you're not a fan of brights you'll feel confident and comfortable in simple black separates. The range features bold abstract prints in purple and pink designed to be mixed and matched to suit your own style.
We've heard many a fitness fan say that wearing bright gym clothes gives them the motivation to workout harder though, so why not give the brights a try!
"In the gym, I chose to go for the black performance vest - its breathable mesh inserts meant I kept cool even after an intense spin class." says Josie.
Spinning is a hot topic at DP HQ - some of us love it and some are not so keen, but the amount calories you can burn definitely makes it a great workout. Regardless of your favourite way to keep fit (dance, yoga, tennis, running, weights, or whatever makes you feel awesome), fun and fashionable gym wear is a quick route to some extra confidence and it’s the little details that we’ve considered, like breathable fabrics and flat seams, that will help you go the distance.
Another of Josie's favourites was the pink fluoro running jacket. She says it's: "just what I need for both safety and comfort when jogging on the common, especially as the nights draw in!"
