We've got an extra special Finish The Look Friday happening today on Twitter, in honour of the Lovebox and Latitude festivals this weekend.

Happy Friday everyone! There's only one thing to do at work on a Friday, and that's daydream about the weekend and plan your outfit for a big night out.

The Celeb Summertime Make-Up Masterclass

 

Today on site, we're looking at how to get a celeb summertime look with your wardrobe, in the style of some of our favourite celebs: Alexa Chung, Ellie Goulding, Fearne Cotton and Kelly Osborne.

 

Here on the blog, we've got celebrity make-up artist Kirstin Piggott back again, on behalf of Rimmel London, to tell us the make-up tricks they use to stay looking fabulous:

- To achieve celebrity style make-up you need to get a flawless looking base. The trick is to lightly apply your make-up, and enhance all your best features. Always use  a foundation that gives you beautiful, fresh, flawless looking skin, lightly concealing any problem areas.

- To pop open your eyes, like Alexa, curl and mascara your lashes, and add a healthy pop of colour to your cheek using either a soft peach, pink or light matte bronzer.

- To finish your look wear a gorgeous nude shade lipstick or a tinted lip balm. Or you can try a bold lipstick like Ellie and Kelly, to add a touch of colour.

- To ensure a smooth, even and perfect application when wearing a bright lip, buff and balm the lips before applying your lipstick. You can use a lip scrub or a toothbrush to remove any dry flakes of skin. Lightly balm your lips so that they are soft and supple. Lightly base your mouth using your foundation, and, using a liner the same shade as your lipstick, line the entire lip area. This makes a great base for your lipstick and prevents bleeding. Use a lip brush to apply your lip colour as this will give you much more control than applying straight from the stick.

- Finally, blot your lip using a tissue and reapply another coat as this will give you a longer lasting effect.

Top make-up tips for Summer

 

As part of our Summer Style Weekender, we'll be bringing you a daily blog post from Rimmel London to show you how to finish your summer look.

Our first topic is Top Summer Make-Up Tips, and we've got celebrity make-up artist Kirstin Piggot to share hers:

- The best way to heat proof your make up in the sun is to be as natural as you can possibly bear! Always choose products with sun protection, as its absolutely essential to look after your skin and prevent it from burning.

- In the heat of the sun, make-up can become cloggy, sweaty and slide off your skin, so it's best to go for a sheer tinted moisturiser with SPF, rather than a foundation. A heavy foundation will also look unnatural.

- Waterproof formulas are fantastic in the sun, I love Volume Flash The Max Waterproof mascara - it's an absolute essential in the heat and on the beach!
